Philippines Launches eVisa Service for Bangladeshi Passport Holders

In a major move to simplify international travel procedures, the Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh has officially announced the launch of its electronic visa (e-visa) service for Bangladeshi passport holders, effective June 5, 2026. The rollout follows a successful beta testing phase conducted from May 25 to June 5, 2026. This digital initiative marks a significant transition toward the modernization of consular services, drastically reducing the extensive paperwork and lengthy processing timelines previously required for traditional paper visas.

Key Highlights of the Philippines E-Visa for Bangladeshis

Application Mode                                : 100% Online / Remote

Visa Fee                                                            :BDT 8,580

Seamless Remote Application Process

Under the new digital platform, Bangladeshi citizens can complete the entire visa cycle remotely. This eliminates the absolute necessity of visiting the Embassy of the Philippines in Dhaka for physical document submission.

Standard Requirements to Prepare Digitally

While the application moves online, travelers must still upload digital copies of standard verifying documents, including:

- Valid Passport: Must have a minimum validity of six (6) months beyond the intended departure date.

- Financial Proof: Recent bank statements.

- Professional Credentials: Employment letters or business documents.

-Travel Itinerary: Confirmed hotel bookings and return flight itineraries.

- Photos: Recent passport-sized photographs meeting digital specifications.

Understanding Philippines Entry Rules for Bangladeshis

Bangladeshi nationals require a valid visa to enter the Philippines for tourism, business, or leisure, as no visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival facilities exist for Bangladeshi passport holders. The standard temporary visitor visa (9a category) allows a stay of up to 30 days from the date of entry. Travelers wishing to remain in the country longer can apply for legal extensions directly through the Bureau of Immigration inside the Philippines.
