The rollout follows a successful beta testing phase conducted from May 25 to June 5, 2026. This digital initiative marks a significant transition toward the modernization of consular services, drastically reducing the extensive paperwork and lengthy processing timelines previously required for traditional paper visas.

While the application moves online, travelers must still upload digital copies of standard verifying documents, including:

- Valid Passport: Must have a minimum validity of six (6) months beyond the intended departure date.

- Financial Proof: Recent bank statements.

- Professional Credentials: Employment letters or business documents.

-Travel Itinerary: Confirmed hotel bookings and return flight itineraries.

- Photos: Recent passport-sized photographs meeting digital specifications.

Travelers wishing to remain in the country longer can apply for legal extensions directly through the Bureau of Immigration inside the Philippines.
